MUD THUMP is a new-grass band from the Central Coast of California. Guitar, mandolin, banjo, and stand-up bass combine with strong harmonies to produce their California homegrown sound. They are a bunch of country boys who love to sing and play bluegrass 'cause that’s what makes ‘em happy. Cody- GUITAR/VOCALS: Originally from northern california, Cody writes most of the songs performed by mud thump. He has only been playing guitar and writing since high school, but hes been a redneck all his life...
Jared-BANJO/VOCALS: The inspiration behind the band, Jared brought this foursome together. He previously played in a band with Cody and became friends with Patrick a few years back through music classes at cuesta. Jared can play any instrument you throw at him, has been playing music all his life, and is always looking to jam.
Patrick-MANDOLIN/VOCALS:this cal poly music major is said to have 'the voice of a redneck angel', and is a hell of a musician too. Patrick also writes songs for the band, many of which are whiskey inspired, just like many of his bloody knuckles come to think of it...
